QUESTIONS

FAQ

Do I need any prior screenwriting experience?

No! While this is an advanced course and we will walk you through techniques used by professional screenwriters, John makes all of the material accessible to anyone who has a story they want to tell.

You might find it helpful to check out our free course, Writing the Short, to familiarize yourself with basic storytelling and screenwriting principles before Writing the Feature is released early this summer.

Will I learn to write (x) genre or for (Y) Budget?

John will address every major genre, and the screenwriting lessons will be applicable to a movie of any budget. You can write a horror indie with only one location, or the next big animated musical.

That said, we want to help you write a film you could see produced. So, to keep your script produceable, every single lesson will also identify key guidelines for staying within a marketable budget.

What if I change my mind or don't like the course?

Once you have access to Writing the Feature, you will have 14 days to check it out and see if it's for you. If you're not satisfied, we will be happy to issue you a full refund.

I have a question that's not listed here.

Theo Luoma

Writing the Feature

I've read numerous books on screenwriting and watched hundreds of videos on YouTube, elsewhere, about the process of screenwriting. Additionally, I've listened to many interviews by either established or famous writers and directors and producers. While they were helpful, nothing compares to this Writing the Feature course.

Abdullah H. Erakat

Writing the Feature

Professor Warren, Alexie, and Adam provide the most valuable education in screenwriting and the industry in these courses. You learn to look at your stories with different eyes and create the elements that make a screenplay successful. This experience is worth so much more than the price you pay.

Anna Tierney

Writing the Feature

I tend to overthink my writing and need to be focused, this class helped with that. Having a task to do every week kept me moving forward and focused on my idea. The feedback from the team helped me to see what need to work on and become confident that I was getting better every day.
